AIPVT 2019 is commonly known as All India Pre-Veterinary Test (AIPVT). The exam is conducted by the Veterinary Council of India (VIC) to grant admissions to Bachelor of Veterinary Sciences and Animal Husbandry.

With the help of this exam, admission is granted to the qualifying students in the 15% seats available in veterinary colleges all over India, excluding Jammu and Kashmir i.e. the total no. of seats from all colleges sum up to 258 approximately. Thus, there is a tough competition. Every year aspiring students appear for this exam. The veterinary colleges that take students based on AIPVT 2019 score are recognized by the Veterinary Council of India.

Thousands of aspirants appear for this exam and there is a good competition. The examination consists of 200 objective questions and lasts for 3 hours. The distribution of marks is 60 each for Physics, Chemistry and 80 for Biology. Each correct answer carries 3 marks while a wrong answer will lead to deduction of 1 mark each. The aspiring candidates thus will have to work hard to crack the examination.


AIPVT 2019 Eligibility Criteria

  1. A Candidate should have passed in 10+2 and it should be recognized central or state board in India.
  2. The students who are residents of Jammu & Kashmir are not eligible for applying for AIPVT 2019. But they can apply only if they provide a Proforma as per required.
  3. A candidate appearing for AIPVT 2019, must not be less than 17 years of age in order to be eligible to apply for AIPVT 2019.
  4. A candidate must have secured minimum 50 % marks in Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English language, in order to be eligible for AIPVT-2019.

The application form for AIPVT 2019 can be filled either online or offline from this year.  For online mode, the candidate has to visit the official website For offline mode, the candidate can get the application brochure from any of the Vijaya Bank branches.

The application fee is Rs.1600 for open a Rs.850 for reserved category and a student has to draw a D.D from any bank in the favor of “Veterinary Council of India Examination Fund, New Delhi“. The application form must be duly filled with all necessary details and documents required. Incomplete forms are liable to rejection.

AIPVT Admit Card 2019

The admit card of AIPVT 2019 will be sent to the students by post as there is no facility to download it online. If the candidate does not receive Admit card in time, then he or she has to contact the Controller of Examination, Veterinary Council of India. The candidate must send the Photostat copy of application form and photo which is the same that is posted on the application form.

After receiving this, the candidate will be issued with a duplicate admit card. The candidate has to carry the admit card at the time of examination he/she will not be permitted to appear for AIPVT 2019 examination without it. The candidate must also retain the admit card as he/she will be asked to provide at various stages of admission procedure.

AIPVT 2019 Answer Key

The answer is the solution for the question paper that will be set for the AIPVT 2019 examination. It will be available online within a few days after the examination. The students can download the answer key b putting their id and can tally their performance in the exam. This will them a clear idea of where they stand in the examination.

Karnataka PGCET rank list/ rank card

Based on the result, a merit list is published by the Veterinary Council of India. The candidate has to score above the minimum marks i.e. cut-off value set by the council. Only candidates scoring above the cut-off value will be shortlisted and called for further rounds.

AIPVT Counselling Procedure 2019

Based on the merit list, students will be issued call letters for the counselling procedure. The date and venue of counselling will be declared after results. Basically, the counselling procedure will take place in two rounds, one for merit list students and other for waiting list students.

The first round will start in the first week of July and last round in the last week of July depending upon the AIPVT 2019 allotment. Students have to carry the documents mentioned in a brochure at the time of counselling, along with the call letter. The student will be granted admission based on merit and availability of seat.
